Marcus McNeill, Chargers agree to Five-Year Contract Extension

Stay connected for news and updates

Adam Schefter over at ESPN is reporting that the Chargers and Marcus McNeill have reached an agreement on a five-year contract extension.  I guess this looks like the Chargers kept their word when they told Marcus, "sign your tender, and we'll talk about a contract."

The extension adds 5 years to his already-signed 1-year tender, signing McNeill with the team through the 2015 season.

Kevin Acee has also reported the deal is not completely finalized, but it's close enough.  The team has not announced the deal yet, they are expected to announce the deal on Tuesday.

Financial details on the extension are not available at this time, but we'll update this story as we get them.

This leaves Vincent Jackson as the lone holdout on the team.
