So that was some BS. Once again, the Chargers have failed to execute in the playoffs. We fans are left disappointed at the least and with a quickening nausea at the mention of football for a short time anyway. But where does our team go from here? It should be clear that the latest playoff game was not lost on any particular play or player, but by the team itself. We could place the blame on Kaeding, but this game was lost on a more fundamental level, less prone to fortune than the kicking game. The Chargers lost this game in the gut. So how to avoid such failure in the future? Adding more skill players does not seem the likely answer outside of the RB position. The coaching staff is imperfect but certainly serviceable or better. I feel that the team needs more staid leadership among the players, less emotional than Rivers and Merriman, and perhaps more than Cooper. So where to go from here?
