ESPN Radio pimping the hell out of the Jets

Stay connected for news and updates

In the past three days, Kris Jenkins, Damien Woody, and D'Brickashaw Ferguson have all made the rounds ("the carwash") with the ESPN Radio shows. An awful lot of pub, especially since I haven't heard any other playoff teams' players in that time. East coast bias, or just the Jets doing a good/stupid job of having their players focus on media appearances instead of game prep (Jenkins aside) leading up to the game? In slightly related news, I find it funny how the early part of the week was devoted (at most sports outlets) to explaining how horrible the matchup was for the Chargers and making the Jets the clearly "favorite" underdog (maybe along with the Cowboys). But now at the end of the week, the ESPN expert picks are unanimous in favor of the Bolts, and SportsNation (73%) and AccuScore have the Bolts with the best or near-best chance to win among all the home teams. The media is a funny thing. It's too bad I can't simply ignore it.
