Also if it’s an interception nothing gets said because the deflection is a sign of good defensive play and the interception is taking advantage of it. Getting a long TD reception on a tipped ball is dumb luck.

Exactly. It's a double standard.
It was tipped and caught. If you don’t want to count it, then take away every pass caught from a deflection at the line and every drop (because professional players would never drop in a perfect world).
It doesn’t make sense. It’s a game and the ball bounces and it either goes to the offense or the defense. That’s why they play the game.

Again, you’re misunderstanding completely. I’m not saying you take it away from them. Nobody is saying that. The point being made is just that the play was a fluke and not predictive. The Broncos got lucky. They got the win. They don’t need you pretending it wasn’t dumb luck.

I never said it wasn't dumb luck. I'm saying it shouldn't be discounted.
As it stands, the broncos are undefeated. You don’t need to have a “predictive” play to see that the broncos are ahead in the division and unbeaten. Although the play may not have been drawn up that way, it earned the broncos a TD and a win. That’s just how it is.

How is this so bloody hard?
It’s luck that the deflected pass was caught. Yes, it counted, but it’s not going to happen every week. To put it simply:
THE BRONCOS WILL NOT CATCH A TIPPED PASS ON THE LAST DRIVE OF EVERY GAME TO SCORE THE GAME-WINNING TOUCHDOWN.

Thoughts from the game
From the semi-bird’s eye view of my seat, I noticed two things.
1. A bleepin’ lot of holding by the Dolphins line, particularly Jake Long at left tackle.
2. Sean Smith looking lost against V-Jack.
But a win is a win, and if we can go into Pittsburgh and get another (tall order) I’m really confident in this team.
