Oceanside and Escondido tag-team action. And Fabiani actually kind of likes this one.

Interesting idea

Hopefully, its the type of idea that will benefit all the parties involved.

The way I see it...

I expect them to eventually bolt (hur hur hur…bolt) for the City of Industry location. Call em the SoCal Chargers imo

Hmm

I had heard that they were considering the Escondido swap meet site as a possible location for the Stadium. It seemed like a decent idea since there are no airports or power plants in the way and its next to the Sprinter Light Rail stop. Plus, Escondido has been trying for years to be a “bigtime” city. However, if this plan works, I’ll take it.

Escondido is the largest city in SD

besides metro. This would help it reach “legit” city status.

Escondido

Having grown up in Escondido and spent most of my life there, i know this location well. You will not find a better location in San Diego. The swap meet location is smack dab in the middle of the 15/78 intersection and is literally right next to the sprinter stop. This part of town is pretty industrial and run down, so it would not be a problem buying the land.

So far this plan has the best chance of success and I hope it happens.

Sounds like the area where they built Petco Park.

I like this idea a lot.

I think I like the Escondido location better than the O-side location

If it is where I think it is proposed in O-side, it would be a traffic nightmare, only one freeway remotely close. The Escondido location is more accsessible IMO

(Formerly, well, lets not go there) The curse! I cannot live knowing i have the power to knowingly dictate somebody's fate.Yes, that is Jahvid Best as my profile image (as motivated by marinecorpsduck). We should all collectively hope like hell that putting his picture up there will have the same effect my screenname did. We will find out on Saturday!

Get It Done!!!

Hoping against Hope that it gets done. I haven’t lived in the area for 20 years but can’t imagine them being the Los Angeles Chargers (again). Part of the reason I root for the Bolts is the tradition of the team, and memories from childhood on (Air Coryell to today), and part is because I love the city of San Diego.

I can’t get to home games, so that doesn’t matter, but if they weren’t the “San Diego Chargers”, I don’t know what I’d do. I’ve never rooted for an LA team in my life. How many remained Clippers fans?

redeveloping the golf course instead of the defunct drive-in/swap meet

that’s Oceanside for you.

On topic: I vote YES for any idea that keeps the Chargers in San Diego, and I’ll vote twice if they’re in North County.
