Bad Analysts...
Dear ESPN analysts Steve Young and Mike Golic: You’re both great guys, but you should have watched the officiating video the NFL sent out last week in which Mike Pereira, the league’s head of officials, went over the exact situation where Oakland wide receiver Louis Murphy’s potential 19-yard touchdown in the first half was overturned. Pereira explained in detail that a receiver has to control the ball all the way to the ground for it to be a catch and that the league was emphasizing that point this season.

ESPN playcalling was so bad
I turned down the TV volume and turn on the radio to hear good playcalling. I hate you steve young, you and your super bowl ring…
I seem to remember two or three
rule interpretations the guys in the ESPN booth messed up on. Golic was trying to explain why Jammer’s illegal contact should have been OK. And I think there was another obvious one they missed because they did not know the rule.
These guys are ESPN’s second stringers when they typically only need 1st string. Its not like getting someone else’s 2nd team. These guys won’t work another game until next year when there is a monday night doubleheader.

Sorry for messing you up timebanit
I listed it a Mike Golic the other day, it’s actually Bob (John caught my mistake).
Dang it! I need a fact checker if I’m going to be a real journalist some day.
But hey the way Golic commentates who really cares to get his first name right? Golic doesn’t care much about telling both sides of the story. Maybe that’s why ESPN has him on the practice squad.
