maybe Marcus Thomas comes back
it sucks (although it makes sense) to not know what’s going on

That's the last thing to worry about
someone else will come along next year in the draft. runningbacks are a dime a dozen and are dependant on the play of the offensive line. He showed promise but really, what rookie runningback taken in the draft doesn’t. who cares. goodluck in your career Gatrell.
agreed
I wasn’t that impressed. everything about him is speculative in my head. although gj had some good moments, he barely showed signs of a better than avg running back

Maybe Gartrell eventually finds a higher gear
What I saw in those preseason games was that his top end burst was not very good.
AND
He ran small, bouncing off guys and changing direction instead of running straight ahead.
Given the chance to grind, he did produce, but I think that "Let ‘em take a chip out of you" Earl Campbell style of running is not a very good recipe for the NFL. I think the Johnson pick would have eventually proven to be a bust. But maybe in time he finds a way to be successful at this level.

Sad but true
Hopefully this gets turned around or we go nowhere fast.

Meh
I’d rather have better depth on the offensive and defensive lines than have him sitting on the inactive list each week. After writing to SB Nation’s Giants blog about him I realized his pro potential was probably as a goal-line back, so whatever. I think he’ll fare better in NY with their big, bruising offensive line.

yes
with that o-line he will be a contributor, if not now, then soon. I really liked what I’d seen of him, despite the lack of speed. Sorry to see we lost him, but that’s how it goes.
When does the talk that AJ should’ve picked an O lineman with the 1st pick instead of English start? Or has it?
We'll see first hand this weekend
how that offensive lineman we passed on is playing. Michael Oher starts at RT for the Ravens.

UPDATE
After being signed to the roster on Monday for the game, Andre Coleman has again been waived by the Chargers and I presume they’ll sign him back to the practice squad once he clears waivers. I imagine this means the Chargers think Cesaire will be fine for Sunday.

Thank God.
We really, really need Jacques out there. That should immediately help our defensive line.
I’m a Cesaire fan. He started for us before we drafted Olshansky and played really well. He also basically took back the starting role last year when Igor decided he was done playing. Cesaire should really add something that we missed on that D-line.

Hard to imagine he would be, considering how long it’s been since he’s even practiced for more than 2 days in a row. However, Richard Seymour looked alright against the Chargers….

True ....
and I like Cesaire, but he’s no Seymour.

I'm glad AJ saw the light
I just don’t know why it took so long. It was obvious to me, he is not an NFL caliber back yet. Maybe he will be in the future, but we can’t have him occupying a critical roster spot.
Funny
I was just told that this wasn’t posted on this site. But, yet, here it is. Huh.

I guess the title of the fanshot isn't very informative.
