San Diego Chargers Select 2009 Captains
The San Diego Chargers players have voted, and the team has named their captains for the 2009 season. These guys will take care of the coin toss and get that fancy "C" on their jerseys all year. These are the guys have been voted on as their peers to be recognized as leaders on the field and in the locker room.
Offensive Captains
- Philip Rivers, QB (4th year as captain)
- LaDainian Tomlinson, HB (7th year as captain)
Defensive Captains
- Jamal Williams, DT (5th year as captain)
- Stephen Cooper, LB (1st year as captain)
Special Teams Captain
- Kassim Osgood, WR (5th year as captain)
How's that for consistency? Congrats goes out to all of the guys, but especially to Stephen Cooper. I read an interview last year where Coop said he had always been a quiet guy, but felt like he needed to start being more vocal and leading the defense last year to get it going in the right direction after Cottrell was fired. It's great to see that the other players have noticed his effort and lined up behind him by voting him as one of their defensive captains.

Lo-Neal and Merriman
use to train with Liddell and he also grew up in SD so I would bet he is a charger fan.
There must also be smoe other charger UFC connection because Seau was in Forrest Griffin’s corner at UFC 101.
I think Seau was recording a TV show
About random sports jobs, my friend was at a Dodger game where Seau was a ball boy for the game and they said something about the show
I guessed all of them, except Cooper...
I thought Jammer would be the other captain besides Jamal…
Formerly Blount#9...
Corners are rarle captains
Since they are usually just focused on shutting down their guy. MLBs and Safeties usually get it because they have to know the whole defense, line guys up in the right place and they know when an assignment has been missed.

Oh yeah
Now I remember wondering for the past few seasons why nobody was wearing it.

Interesting
Merriman was a defensive captain in 2008.

Shhhhhhhh
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this blog is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on our souls.
