Continuous Errors in Writing
This is not the first article I've noted with this error. Weddle led the team in tackles last year. Continuously Stephen Cooper is regarded as last season's leading tackler, when Weddle had about 29 more tackles. There was another chargers.com article as well as one at nfl.com article that said this. One could even argue that Weddle's tackling was the teams strength on D; so don't sell this guy short like this. Anyone have any info on this continuous mistake?

Maybe they're extrapolating Cooper's tackles over 16 games
and just running with that. Suspension? What suspension?

cooper did have more tackles per game played
but usually they don’t count tackles like that… strange, nice pick up

I was being facetious
It’s an error either way – either they’re calculating tackles in a strange way (average instead of total) without saying so, or they’re just factually wrong on total tackles.

And I'm going to go with just factually wrong
since nobody’s (especially the official) record book has Weddle with 135 anyway.

Weddle ranked top in Fantasy Defensive Backs
In Yahoo. Fantasy guys know whats up. I think that was more the indication of terrible run defense through much last year and the front seven not collectively manning up after the loss of Merriman and the unfortunate coaching of Cottrell.
At least Al Davis isn't running my team's drafts.

I bet
It has something to do with Cooper leading the team in tackles in 2007. Strange that Chargers.com would get it wrong though. Poor Weddle.

The UT just flat out sucks
with statistics and things like this. I’ve noticed it numerous times in Padres articles.
