Vincent Jackson and Antonio Cromartie tangled on a deep incompletion, and Jackson stayed on the ground midway through this afternoon's practice. Jackson got up a short while later, holding his hand. He rose and walked immediately to the training room. He has not come back on the field. Early word is the injury is not serious
Vincent Jackson Injured During Practice
I heard this on The Drive on 1360 and Kevin Acee confirms what they said on his blog. On the radio they said that he had a splint on, but I think they said it was just on his pinky finger.

Acee has not removed the part of the quote that says
“Early word is the injury is not serious”

The latest version of the article on the UT's website
says that he sprained his middle finder. He’ll miss a few days of practice and sit out Saturday’s game in Arizona.
Could be worse.

Yup
Jackson looks up-to-speed to me already. As long as he’s in there for the week 4 preseason game I’ll be quiet happy.
This actually isn’t the worst thing in the world. The team is playing very physical, on both sides of the ball, and there has been no serious injuries to speak of.
