Headed out for the home opener!
Just booked my trip out from VA for the home opener vs. the Ravens. Don't know where I'm sitting yet, but working on a ticket as we speak. Maybe I'll get a chance to meet some of you.
Staying at the Quality Inn near Qualcomm - anyone have any info on what's nearby for fun? I get in around noon on Sat., so will probably be looking for a nearby sports bar to catch some college games.
Go Bolts!!

Have fun Buck
I won’t be able to make it to the home opener, but should make it to a couple of games this season. BFTB fans, feel free to get together without me and say horrible things behind my back.

Nearby sports bar
I think most people like Trophy’s. It’s in Hazard Center near the Quality Inn in Mission Valley probably about a mile away as the car drives. There is also a Dave&Busters about 2 miles away, but that might be better for postgame. I’ve heard that some Chargers will hang out there after the games. If you buy them some beers, make sure they have a designated driver.
Memo to baseball managers: You manufacture runs by NOT making outs, not by making them on purpose.

If you aren't tailgating
Trophy’s in Hazard Center is a good bet. We often go there for brunch before the game. Parking is free, and there’s a trolly stop across the street.

Sports Bars
just across from the back entrance of the stadium is McGregor’s. They have lots of TVs, pool table, dats, shuffleboard and some good food too. I have actually been in there while LT was there, so I guess the players like it.
There is also the San Diego Brewing Company. They have a ton of beers on tap, lots of tvs and pretty good sports bar food.
Or you could head downtown to the Yard House. They have way too many beers to choose from and you can get them in glasses that are a full yard long. It kind of ties into the whole football watching thing
And of course, there is Seau’s. Really good food and tons of tvs.
If I agreed with you, we would both be wrong

Seau's
That would be my choice as an out-of-towner. Good time, good food.
