Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall missed a mandatory minicamp on Friday but met later in the day with coach Josh McDaniels.

McDaniels said Marshall's contract could come up during the meeting, which was expected to include owner Pat Bowlen.

Marshall is due $2.2 million this season, the final year of a four-year contract he signed as a rookie.

He drove away from the team's training complex after about 1 hour, 15 minutes but didn't stop to speak with reporters. Team officials would not comment except to say that a meeting had been planned.

Everything about this guy screams, “Bad Human Being”

He probably needs the money to pay for redemption gifts after he beats his girlfriends.

Memo to baseball managers: You manufacture runs by NOT making outs, not by making them on purpose.

He certainly has his issues

If he was on a NY team he’d be getting the Plaxico treatment. Instead the rest of the league turns away and ignores his off-the-field issues.

And the hits just keep on comin'

Damn its good to be a Bronco-hater these days! I mean, it’s been that way for a while with the Raiders, but the Insane Donkey Posse is goin’ down in flames and I am eating it up!!! Woot!!!

I respect the guy as a NFL gossip-hound, but he got me laughing/angry this morning when I saw him predict the Chargers to have 8-9 wins and the Broncos to have 8-9 as well. It’s amazing how badly this team is being run right now and Belichek’s castoffs have a history of doing poorly (minus one good/lucky year for Mangini with the Jets). I believe I posted a link to this story on Twitter with “The Ship Is Sinking!” afterwards.

One thing is certain

You can bet that Jay is lobbying hard for Marshall to become a Bear.
