"It hurts to (be) given up on so easily," Hart said. "But I understand. It's about putting the best people on the field. Being hurt, I was not one of the best. Me healthy, I'm one of the best. I belong out there. I think I'm a damn good football player.

"I'll be the first to say I played like crap last year, and I'll be the first to say I won't play like that this year. ... The next round of OCS and when we put pads on (in training camp), let's see the dogs come out. Let's see who wants it."
