What’s Your Favorite Charger Uniform of All Time?
I stumbled across this webpage yesterday which chronologs the different uniforms the Chargers have worn since their inception. I noticed that over the years the Chargers have really worn four different styles of uniforms with subtle variations to them over time. So my question to you is which of the four is your favorite?
The Lance Alworth Originals
The Chargers wore a few variations of this style uniform between 1960 and 1973. The only major variations between the different styles over the years was using a blue bolt on the helmet in 1960 & 66 and switching to yellow pants after 1967.

The Air Coryell Throwbacks
The Chargers wore different variations of this style uniform from 1973 to 1987. The style remained pretty much the same up until 1985 when the Chargers switched to a darker blue and white pants.

The Only Charger Uniforms to be in a Super Bowl
The Chargers wore different variations of this style uniform from 1988 to 2006. There was not many variations to this style over that time span, mostly just changing the pants colors between blue and white.

The Current Style
The Chargers got their new look at the start of the 2007 season by going back to white helmets and sporting both navy and powered blue colored jerseys.

Unis
The current unis are the worst in the history of the franchise, and it’s not close. Any of the previous unis are vastly superior to the crap they have now, and they actually have FOOTBALL numbers, not WNBA or Arena League style numbers.
I take solace in the fact that three times this season the Chargers will have the BEST unis in the history of football. It’s a shame that ownership chose to go with the crap we currently have instead of the no-brainer of using a great style from their own history.
Could you please explain?
I think the current uniforms are great. What is wrong with the numbers? And what makes the unis so crappy?

I’m surprised the current style is winning.
