Tribble not a suprise
Especially in light of the draft
Chandler is a bit of a surprise. Who do we have at TE now?
Gates
Manumaleuna
Kris Wilson
I see a note that Wilson started the Colts playoff game last year… I don’t remember that. Wilson is more a light weight pass catcher. I guess he and the UDFAs will duke it out for one of the weekly inactive spots…

Technically
In the NFL, a “start” just means that you were in on the first offensive play of the game (this is why they do not announce the starters until after the game has started). If you look at the box score for that game you’ll see that we only have one WR starting (VJ) and no fullback. So the Chargers started the game with 8 guys on the line (5 O-linemen, all 3 TEs) on a running play for Tomlinson.
This way of proclaiming starters can turn in some weird looking results, such as Kris Wilson seemingly getting a start. In that same game, because of where they were lined up on the field, Cason is listed as the starting SS and Gregory is listed as the starting nickel corner.
The options for TE are seemingly Wilson, one of the UDFA’s we signed or possibly Naanee.

Wilson
Always thought he was way too small for a TE, but I guess he must do a decent job of blocking to keep his roster spot.
