The Very Timely Buffalo Trip Recap Post

So I took a trip to the East Coast last fall, and there was a detour to Buffalo involved to see our Bolts take on the Bills. Here's some photos of the trip.

Below are some shots of Buffalo's Downtown...N3400395_39658853_7815_medium

I definitely jinxed the game by doing this to the Bison statueN3400395_39658867_1663_medium

And of course I tried to do it again to Grover Cleveland. Gravity thought otherwise.N3400395_39658881_6623_medium

I also went to Niagara Falls. Here's a shot of that.N3400395_39659154_2566_medium

And now here's the good stuff: tailgating and then the game.

Flip cup against some insanely nice Bills fans. We won!N3400395_39658994_2964_medium

It was chaos getting in since the power was out and the ticket scanners were down.N3400395_39659011_6565_medium

The players and officials standing around on the field, waiting to find out what to do. As you can see, not even the scoreboard was on. I was getting calls and text messages asking what was going on, since apparently the TV feed was out.

The game eventually started even though the stadium didn't have power.N3400395_39659018_8135_medium

This Buffalo superfan made me laugh.N3400395_39659019_8395_medium

The power went on and off, just like the Chargers offense and then we lost. Sad.N3400395_39659021_8932_medium

In any case, it was a fun trip. Met some cool people, saw a game in a new city, and got to have some delicious wings.N3400395_39658848_6504_medium

So what's the '09 road trip gonna be?

The parking lot is in the middle of the forest?

The 2009 roadtrip is to see the Chargers take on the Gmen at the Meadowlands.

I want to thank the good Lord for making me a Philip Rivers fan.

Kinda

The stadium’s in a suburb called Orchard Park (hence the trees) and we parked in a vacant lot across the street.

Ha

I love the Buffalo with the Chargers cap.

Great Pics

Sounds like a great time. And although Niagara Falls looks awesome, I don’t think I really have any desire to see Buffalo.
