Patriots west?

Stupid move by KC imo. Cassel is a product of the system. They should have stuck with Thigpen. Cassel is going to struggle without the Pats.

Completely Agree

Thigpen is so legit.

Jamal Williams - "Game Over"

I feel bad for Thigpen

Dude was the one highlight of the Chiefs and now they replace him?!

+1

The offense didn’t even look like the problem from what I saw; their defensive line and linebackers were.

I’m a little surprised they only pulled a second rounder for Cassel and Vrabel.

AccuScore projects Cassel as a three-win upgrade over Thigpen.

This is just too funny….

and I’m really amazed that the Patriots only got a second round pick for both Cassel and Vrabel, doesn’t make sense to me…

I don't know

The Patriots didn’t give up much here. A backup QB and a LB that needed to be replaced soon. And its not like its just any 2nd round pick; it’s the third pick in the 2nd round (35th overall).

Of course

For the Chiefs they are getting a starting QB and an upgrade at LB. So I guess it depends on how you look at it.

If this is true

and they actually did do a sweetheart deal with the Chiefs, there should absolutely be a league investigation. It’s not like the Patriots haven’t gamed the system before. I don’t see any real reason for them to have helped out the Chiefs, but I also don’t see a good reason to turn down the #12 pick. I don’t buy for a second that they’d do that to avoid the cost difference between 12 and 34. The reasons should be looked into and need to be defended by the Patriots.
