I forget who was talking about VJ waiting for the ball too much sometimes; I thought this was an interesting picture. His hands are down low waiting for the ball to come to him, Flowers gets his hands on it first and it is an incomplete.

Whenever someone says something about Jackson not using his hands enough

I feel compelled to post these photos.

Hey, look, it's Wes Welker!

Ali Villanueva (OT/WR, Army) has 460 yards and 5 TDs in only 7 games with a mediocre quarterback. Just sayin'...

I agree with your point that you don’t have to bring your hands high and fight for the ball to be a top receiver. But I think most of us who believe Jackson should do this more find it to be an odd skill not to use. If he did throw his hands up (even if only in the instance above) to catch the ball, would it not make him just that much better?

The only counter-point to this I can think of is that he is being conservative, playing his hands low so he doesn’t risk popping it up for an interception. Maybe his hands aren’t glue like Chamber’s (were) and Gates.
Anyone know if he was on the hands team yesterday?
