Well that's exactly the type of first half I was looking for. Everything seemed to work for the Chargers (even the run defense) when they weren't playing a soft zone on defense. The rushing offense, led by LaDainian Tomlinson and a healthy-looking Nick Hardwick, looks positive in every way.
Save for a few small injuries (Eric Weddle, Shaun Phillips), I'd say that first half went exactly according to plan. The Chargers have always, and will always, be content to play smart football and let teams like the Titans beat themselves with turnovers (2 so far) and dumb penalties (plenty). If the defense can hold, tomorrow we'll be discussing which Chargers should sit out the next two weeks to rest.
