Game Thread: Steelers @ Broncos MNF

After last week's loss to the Ravens, the Steelers believe the recipe for beating the Broncos is to stop the run and force Kyle Orton to make good throws. Hasn't that been everybody's philosophy? Oh, and to get LOTS of pressure on Orton.
I don't want to sound too cocky, but the Chargers and Steelers defenses are close enough that if the recipe works I'll feel confident in the Chargers chances in two weeks.

Talk topic until game time: Has anyone else noticed the Eagles melting down a little bit today? Everyone's turning on Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb, and suddenly Michael Vick is causing problems. I'd say that's a good thing, but with the Eagles you never really know.

I assume that Ryan Harris is out at RT
So I want to attack that as much as possible. Unfortunately, the Steelers are without their starting DE (Aaron Smith) on that side and his backup (Kirschke). So that might make it tough.

What other kind of MNF broadcast is there anymore?
The only time ESPN gives their broadcast to the local affiliates for OTA is in the home markets.

Pittsburgh will show the world tonight, on national television that Denver’s a bunch of pretenders and that the Steelers are contenders. After that, San Diego will only be 1 game back for the division.

There are few things I hate more than that goofy smile on Hines Ward’s face or Santonio Holmes being a cocky bastard. Troy’s about the only player on the team I really like.

They had a shot of the training staring into his eyes from about 2 inches away and asking him questions that Jammer was answering with a very serious expression on his face. That looks like a concussion test to me.

That was my friends point of view, I found it hard to believe that he was pulled. I know im not the smartest one here so to me it was just an observation. Could be he was being asked questions but i didn’t really see him down or anything the play before.

i really hate denver
but it annoys me how much the broadcasters talk about how many steeler fans were at the game (obviously it bothers me more so when the game is in SD). Not because it isnt a valid point to bring up, but from a denver fans standpoint its gotta be infuriating to listen to their fanbase get constantly demeaned on national tv.
like i said, im happy for denvers loss, but i could feel for them if they were to complain about the broadcasters infatuation with steeler fans, like i am.
SHUT UP STUART SCOTT! WE UNDERSTAND THAT STEELER FANS TRAVEL WELL AND THAT WEAK-MINDED PEOPLE WILL FOLLOW ANY TEAM THAT DOES WELL AND GO TO THEIR ROAD GAMES IN THEIR HOMETOWN!
