or is there a bit of awkwardness between the two of them? There’s a modicum of professional respect but it still seemed a little uncomfortable at times

Well, Kevin doesn’t have what we’d call a high TVQ. There’s a reason he’s a newspaper report. And the white elephant in the room was the fact that this may very well be Merriman’s last season as a Bolt, as evidenced by the looonnnggg awkward silence after Acee’s comment about Shawne’s contract.
