PrintWell, I'm back home and about 40 pounds heavier. I'd probably feel like hot death if it weren't for the fact that the Chargers are playing a division game a little later today. I'll hold off death for one more day.
Are there any early games that mean anything for the Chargers? Cleveland and Cincinnati probably matters if you're looking at possible Wild Card competitors as well as future Charger opponents. Indianapolis and Houston will not only be a good game (I think), and a Texans upset would be huge. I'll also have my eye on the Redskins/Eagles game because it's a past opponent versus a future opponent.
So....how was your Thanksgiving?

Cincy matters to us in terms of playoff seeding.
That’s an extremely interesting team. They’re 7-3, but nearly all of those 7 wins are come-from-behind or last-second win varieties. That sort of thing is difficult to keep up through the length of the season—we saw what happened to them last week when they, again, let a team hang around. Consider earlier this season Cincy took until the last moments of overtime to beat Cleveland, which may be the worst team in football.

It appears that CBS 2 has again altered their programming
and is going to broadcast the Chargers game. I had it on to watch the Colts-Texans, but it went to infomercial. So LA area fans are in luck!

Delhomme changed the play at the line but apparently Smith didnt' get it.
Instead of running a hitch route he just kept running, Delhomme threw the ball and it perfectly hit the heel of Smith’s foot as it was going up and bounced in a 90 degree angle directly into the chest of an idle Revis who jogged in for the TD

Yup.
Look at the Divisional Playoff game in 2005 against the Steelers, and they used nearly the same gameplan we did to knock them off.

It's just dumb you can throw the ball 80 yards down the field
and get the ball at the 1 just because of incidental contact that the ref arbitrarily decided to flag.

Know we can win out but I don’t expect teams to roll over, Washington is a threat. They did beat denver, you can say what you want that they faced Simms, but a win is a win.

Shame he got hurt, he would of won the heisman and probably would of had a starting qb job somewhere.

but he’s also lucky about how his career has gone. Going to a winning team, and one as good as the Steelers at developing talent, and sitting for a few years behind Roethlisberger and Charlie Batch will pay off down the line. I expect him to be very good for another team in a year or two.

In his senior season at UO, he showed all of the intangibles to be a great QB. He can throw a hell of a deep ball, scramble very well, and is very smart with the placement of his passes.
