If he's going to try to play I doubt he practices all week.

I think you linked the wrong article

The one you got there says:

Coach Josh McDaniels, while still holding out hope for Orton on Sunday

The article seems like a puff piece on Simms. It doesn’t provide any update on what will happen.

The headline is

“Simms likely QB for Broncos” so blame ESPN

That's a really dumb title for that article

I would have called it “Simms Comeback Near Completion”. That would fit it much better.

At this point, I’m expecting only Hardwick to miss the game. However, I really (REALLY) hope that Clary practices tomorrow.

if mooch keeps getting better, or least hold the line, i can see why there in no hurry to push Hardwick back into the lineup. besides if they can win without him, in the regualr season, he’d be a monster to contend with in the palyoffs.

The peanut gallery has spoken!!!

The latest from Acee about Clary

is that they’re “hopeful” that he’ll be able to practice tomorrow, and hopefully play Sunday. In the meantime Dombrowski is taking the first team reps at RT.

If Jeromy practices tomorrow, then it’s likely he’ll play. If he doesn’t, he won’t. Either way, Dombrowski looks to be better prepared to play Sunday than he was coming off the bench against Philly.

Domb > Clark?

Both in their second year. Domb a UDFA, Clark a 7th round pick. Not a huge difference there, but Domb is a natural guard and Clark is a natural tackle.

And yet is Domb outplaying Clark at Right Tackle??

by cowbell on Nov 19, 2009 10:21 PM PST up reply actions

They felt Dombrowski fit better at tackle.

He only played guard earlier this year because both Nick and Louis got hurt at the same time. Also, Clark was on the practice squad to start the year, while Dombrowski made the team. That means the team like Brandyn more than Corey.

Dombo is good at pass blocking not so much at run blocking

Exactly

Dombrowski is a natural tackle, and one that has better physical attributes to play RT than Clark (who is a little undersized, in my opinion).

It’s just his opinion. Is he supposed to pick the Chargers to win every week?
