It's been a hectic couple of days for me, between buying and moving into a house. It took me about 2 hours to manage to get connected to the internet this morning and still I have no wireless. Damn it all to hell.
Still, I'll find time to watch football today and maybe even chat on here a bit. I'm keeping a keep eye on the Broncos/Redskins game just in case.

I think we should be rooting for the Steelers to win thte AFC North.
Given that they’ve already got a tie-breaker over us, it’ll be harder for us to beat them out for a wild card. We still have a game to play against Cincy.

Usually they will run as much time as possible off the clock, then call timeout to kick the FG. That way you run all the time off but don’t have to rush.

No, just to bleed time off the clock.
With less than two minutes left and Denver out of time outs, the Redskins want to take as much time off the clock as possible before kicking the FG and giving the ball back to the Denver offense.
In that situation, since they have a time out to spare, it makes sense to let the clock run down and call a time out when the play clock is just about to hit zero. If they just kicked, they would end up leaving a couple more seconds on the clock. The difference might be just a couple of seconds, but it makes sense when you’re trying to safely eat up time.
