[Gary ]Horton [of Scouts, Inc.] thinks the Broncos have the tougher remaining schedule of the two teams and he thinks San Diego is the better team right now.

The more I look at this

the more I think the team that finishes 2nd is going to get a Wild Card. And the two will then meet in the first round of the playoffs.

We're boned.

It seems to me that this could be the case, but there are two wild cards involved (pardon the pun)

Baltimore has had some pretty darn good performances that somehow resulted in losses and some really good ones in their wins. If they can somehow get the ship righted where these good performances result in consistent wins, they’ll start to play a bigger factor in the wild card race.

The second is the Houston Texans. They have the makings of a team ready to make a playoff push, but aren’t exactly a team that’s battle tested for playoff runs (from top to bottom, ownership, front office, coaches, players and fans all haven’t done this; well the fans have, but that was like 15 years ago or more). They were on a roll, but ran into the Colts. As long as the idea of falling behind in the division race doesn’t faze them, they’ll be pushing for a wild card spot.

Thankfully the Ravens

still have to play the Steelers twice. Whereas after these next two weeks, we’ll have the toughest parts of our schedule behind us and only have two good teams left.

We're boned.

Don't count your Titans before they hatch.

I agree with that.

We’ll know by then what kind of a team they are, and whether that game will mean anything.
