Orton, Broncos allowing San Diego back in race - AFC West - ESPN
Orton needs to find his early-season rhythm by that game. Orton was intercepted three times Monday night after throwing just one interception in the first seven games. The first two interceptions (one was returned for a score) Monday led to Pittsburgh points and the final interception ended the game.
Orton had been so patient and instinctive early in the season. Last week and on Monday night, he was throwing into traffic, overthrowing targets and passing off of his back foot. According to ESPN Stats & Information, Orton had a passer rating of zero in the fourth quarter.
Essentially, he looked like the mediocre quarterback he was with the Bears, not the early-season MVP candidate he had been this season.

Anyone else notice this?
No huddle seems to work pretty damn well against the Denver D.
Norv, are you listening?

Part of the reason for that probably had to do with Ty Law being on the field so much even though he barely knows the defense. It’ll be less effective as weeks go on.
However, getting a ton of pressure on Kyle Orton seems to make him much less effective.

I'm also thinking that the age of the secondary will wear on them as the season progresses.
Although I asked Roman Oben on twitter and he told me he didn’t think so.

They're still remarkably healthy.
If (when?) that catches up to them, it’ll hurt them. It may have already started, as they’re without their right tackle and the Steelers got a lot of pressure from that side.
Watching, Ron Rivera?

And that was before Law.

Here's something interesting.
If the Chargers and Broncos both win next week, and the Chargers then beat the Broncos, the two teams will be near mirror images of each other.
Each will be 7-3.
Each will have lost to the Ravens and Steelers.
Each will have 1 division loss (though at 4-1, the Chargers will have a better win % than the Broncos at 2-1).

Should be a good game in 2 weeks
Hopefully the chargers can come out on top.

Know what sucks?
This week’s game vs. Philly won’t be on local TV for us in SoCal outside the San Diego market.

San Diego is favoured at -3.
Maybe vegas is looking at how bad Philly played in their last visit to the west coast against Oakland.
Hopefully they’re right. They stole one in New York, maybe they can steal another one at home

It's essentially a pick 'em.
With San Diego’s 3 points coming from home field advantage.

Chargers really need to start winning games at home.
3-1 on the road.
2-2 at home.
Winning road games is great, but you gotta take care of your home field.

Weren't they something like 20-4 at home before this year?
by Freddyd on Nov 10, 2009 10:22 AM PST reply actions 0 recs
The Chargers have been very good at home the last few years.
This year’s stats have more to do with the quality of teams they’ve played. Their two home losses are to teams who were, at the time, undefeated, and currently have a 10-6 record. Two of their three road wins are against teams with a combine 3 wins total.

Last week was their first win against a winning team too
by Freddyd on Nov 10, 2009 10:47 AM PST reply actions 0 recs
Sure.
They weren’t playing well the first 5 games of the season. They’re playing better now. Whether that continues remains to be seen.

Denver hasnt really won against a real great team....
I dont call the Bengals game a complete game or even the Patriots game complete. Bengals was freakishly lucky game and well Patriots vs Patriots basically. the rest were just eh aside divisional games say the least is always competitve and it aint like they had any blown away games. Its time for payback… so 2weeks its on. Anyone going to sundays game?
