Nick Hardwick is on the field practicing with his teammates in what appears to be a limited role.
Hardwick suffered a sever ankle sprain in the season opener and had surgery to repair torn ligaments.
His return was originally projected to be mid-to-late November and is likely still a game or two away. - ka

Put the quote you want in the quote box
Then it gives you the html stuff for the link in the “quote source” area. You punt the actual link in between the "s and put what you want the text for the link to say between the > and <. And then if you want to add some of your own comments, put them after the html stuff.
Ex quote source section:

I think Hardwick might help the team a bit more than me :), but I’m doing my best.
By the way – still lovin this blog, visiting a bit too often for work productivity (though I’ll try and write about the Chargers sometime in the next while and get to spend even more time thinking about them…). Still feel like I need to read ‘Football for Dummies’ (or some equivalent) at some stage, but I feel like I’ve got a much better handle now on why someone like Hardwick is so important to the team. I didn’t realise, for example, that part of what he does is pick up if a blitz is coming, what kind of blitz, and who should be covering who.
Maybe at some stage we can get some discussions going over the ‘ideal’ characteristics of each position – I wouldn’t be able to contribute much, but I’d find it fascinating to hear what the denizens here want and value from the different positions, and of course where people differ on this (I know it’s also complicated by the type of offense and defense you want to run, but you’ve got to start somewhere).

Where in Australia are you located? I am going to be in Sydney for 10 days at the end of November. If you are close, maybe we could meet up and watch a Chargers game? I am not really sure how the time difference works out, or if there is even a bar that would broadcast the game, but it’s worth a try. Let me know what you think.
Do or do not. There is no try.
I'm in Melbourne
Which is around 700 miles south of Sydney – a bit too far for me which is unfortunate as it’d be nice to see a Chargers game with a fellow fan. You should pop down to Melbourne at the end of your time here :)

Melbourne
I would love to go to Melbourne, but this trip is strictly Sydney this time. :(
Is is easy to watch American football in Australia? I mean, are there places you go to watch games? I hope that I get to catch at least one game while I am there.

I have a Chargers fan friend that was living in Sydney
But he moved back to SD. Maybe he has some tips on where to catch the Bolts. I’ll see if I can dig up some info.

Your help
would be greatly appreciated.
I watched the Super Bowl in Taiwan a couple of years ago, and it was awesome. A great mix of ex-pats and locals who just like football. With the time difference, the game actually started at 7am on Monday morning, but at least I had an excuse to drink that early.
Looks like game time in Sydney is about the same…Monday morning at 7am for a 1pm start here.

Well, I will give a quick rundown of what I like to see at certain positions
-Running Back, 5’11-6’2 (feet, inches), 205-230 pounds (I like me a featured power back) STRONG AND FAST
-Quarterback-6’3+, at least 210 (pounds) TALL AND STRONG ARM
-Offensive line-BIG, at least 6’5, at least 285 pounds HUGE, GREAT BLOCKING
-Wide Reciever-A small speedy guy to stretch the defense…5’11, 185 pounds. And some big guys at least 6’2, 220 pounds FAST, AND GOOD DOWNFIELD BLOCKING
-Tight End, 6’5, 240 pounds GOOD BLOCKER, AND DECENT SPEED
-Defensive Tackle, HUGE…6’4, at least 300 pounds HUGE! RUN STUFFER
-Defensive End (For our Chargers scheme) 6’4-6’7, 260-275 pounds FAST AND STRONG
-Linebacker 6’2-6’4, 240-260 pounds SPEEDY, AND SURE TACKLERS
-Cornerback 5’11-6’2, 185-210 pounds FAST
-Safety 5’11-6’4, 210-235 pounds…HARD HITTERS
Those are MY favorite dimensions for prospective players, Allbeit wishful thinking :)

Agreed
Plus, I think in today’s NFL the RB size can be smaller since teams compensate by rotating guys. Plus LT, Emmitt Smith and Walter Payton are three of the greatest RBs of all time and are 5’10", 5’9" and 5’10" respectively.
Then you have Sproles and Maurice Jones-Drew who are 5’6" and 5’7".
Steve Slaton, Thomas Jones, Donald Brown, Jonathon Stewart, Brian Westbrook, Ricky Williams, Rashard Mendenhall, Willie Parker, Julius Jones, Felix Jones, Knowshon Moreno and Michael Turner are all 5’10".
DeAngelo Williams is 5’9".
I’ve always thought of 5’10" (1.78m) as the ideal height for a RB.

All I was saying are what I like to see in players...
I personally like a runningback that is a little taller

On the not-so-bright side
Nwagbuo and Burnett missed practice.
The Raiders had seven players miss today’s practice, including Greg Ellis (knee), Bruce Gradkowski (illness), Darren McFadden (knee) and Chaz Schilens (foot).

I asked Acee about this via twitter
and he thinks Nick will be back by the Philly game, with a slim chance of playing against New York.
To me this is phenomenal. I expected him back against Kansas City, or Denver at the absolute earliest.
We're boned.

Love this...
Just don’t rush him back too soon. We need him fully healthy for the stretch run.
