San Diego Chargers Injuries: Week 7
I'm pretty sure the site would crash like a lead zeppelin if I tried to post the entire practice participation report on the home page, so it's after the jump.
Worrisome names that could possibly miss Sunday's game include Kevin Burnett, Antonio Cromartie and Travis Johnson

It is disappointing
That after a game than Cro and Acee agreed was the best performance by #31 of his career on Monday that he’d immediately suffer a knee injury. And, on top of that, his top backup is apparently in the dog house.

Yeah
Good thing the Chiefs don’t have Marc Boerigter anymore. We’d be screwed.

That wasn't the best performance of his career.
Just the best in awhile. I seem to remember somebody just crucifying Peyton Manning once….

Seems to me
Burnett isn’t going to play and will probably be inactive Sunday. Who will get his spot on the active roster I wonder? IIRC the choices are Davis, Martin, Spillman or Hughes. I’ll assume Martin.

I don't think so
I’d bet on Spillman. Seems like he could take Cro’s spot on special teams.

Maybe
If Hughes had more experience with San Diego I’d definitely say him. I wanted to say Spillman for his ST work, but I don’t see him replacing Cro’s minimal roles out there. Maybe Spillman would replace Gregory on special teams so that he can stay fresher for defense. The fragility of Johnson, Scott and Cesaire is what made me think Martin, but I guess it’s not like he’s healthy either.

13 guys
on the list, 25% of the team isn’t healthy. Jeeze it’s like we drafted a bunch Ming vases. I’d go Spillman.

25% and we don't even have the flu yet...

Those 4 Illness "injuries" (Davis, Hester, Tomlinson, Tucker) aren't the flu?

Didn’t Naanee already replace Cro on special teams?

The only thing I can think of that Cro does now
Is he’s sometimes a decoy on kick returns. He also is out there on certain FG defense plays, but its possible thats only the long ones where he might be able to field and return. 2 years ago he worked on punt plays as a gunner, but I don’t think he’s done that once this year.

Ugh! "After The Jump!"
Any chance I can talk you guys into trying to avoid the lame “after the jump” phrase? Every once in a while is tolerable, but reading it in every article is SOOOO annoying!

I can stop if you want. I just don’t want anyone to not realize the link that they need to click on. What about “below the fold”?
