PrintHey, wake up! The Chargers look good! Special Teams is both great and terrible at the same time! I need 4 safeties (2 by each team) to be this week's Carnac.
The Chargers may have finally gotten up for a game. Now we just need them to make those fantastic 2nd half adjustments like they always do.

I just have never been so frustrated watching a defense because we just got NO pressure all night. We made Orton look like freaking Peyton Manning or something because he had like 10 seconds on every drop back. They only ran the ball to keep us honest. I have to admit, the Broncos are a much better team than I thought they were. If our special teams and O-line didn’t suck though, I think we win this game pretty easily.

For san diego sports fans, I would think some of you would have much tougher skin. We have a ridiculously easy schedule the rest of the way and getting in the playoffs shouldn’t be a problem. How we do when we get there is another story though.

I was extremely pissed
Just takes me some time to calm down and think about what we have to face, I can legitimately see Wild card but some things still need to be turned around.
Here's my thoughts.
This was a team loss. The offense could do nothing the second half. The defense consistently gave it up on 3rd down. Special teams surrendered 14 points. There wasn’t much to be proud of in this contest.
I think significant parts of this team are in need of major rebuilding. I thought this after the first couple games of the season, but I hoped the guys we had could overcome it. That’s still possible, but it looks less likely after tonight.
I know we’ve suffered some significant injuries, but even the guys who aren’t hurt aren’t getting it done. I think we’re in serious need of an infusion of talent. A lot of guys need to get cut in the off-season, and we need to have good draft picks and sign some impact free agents.
Whether Norv Turner and Ron Rivera are the guys to usher is through this process I don’t know. I’ve defended Turner and I still think he’s a good coach for a good team, but I don’t think this is a good team anymore. And it might benefit the team to have a fresh start with some new guys at the top.

you pretty much said it, it’s been 6 weeks and you can’t blame injuries or anything else anymore. Besides Rivers these guys just do not bring it hard every game. I’m not giving up on the season but this team is no better than average on a good day. Denver is a better team and should win the division barring something crazy happening

You can blame injuries to a certain extent.
We wouldn’t be as bad on defense with Jamal Williams or with a healthy Merriman. We wouldn’t be as bad on offense with a healthy Nick Hardwick.
That said, neither Williams nor Merriman are long for this team, and the players currently on the roster aren’t good enough to overcome their absence or poor performance.
They need new and better players. And possibly new coaches.

With a few additions on the line, you’ll be back in good shape next year. Injuries have really changed this team, and with a probable firing of Norv, you’ll have a whole new philosophy. I’m glad it’s a rivalry again.
