Monday Night Predictions
I see a better running game, big returns from Sproles, big gains from Sproles and a few big gainers by VJ. But Denver's defense hangs tough and their offense chews up some clock on the ground and scores as well. 27-24 Chargers.
Put your predictions here.

38-10 Chargers… I’d be as surprised as anyone else if it happened

33-9 Chargers
2 LT scores, Rivers to Floyd 40 yard TD, Cason INT TD, and Merriman sacks Orton for a Safety.
Denver doesn’t play bad, but the Chargers show who they are.

Chargers 30-14
with a late Broncos TD to make it look that close.

27-17 Donkeys
I don’t really wanna win so I don’t know why I even bother predicting. I hope I’m wrong.
DODGERS, RED SOX, YANKEES, BRONCOS, PATRIOTS and RAIDERS all suck. Especially the Dodgers.

Broncos 30 Chargers 24
This hurts, I think the Chargers will be able to move the ball and score. But I don’t see any reason to believe that the D will all of a sudden start playing well.

Carnac again
It wasn’t the D though it was the Special teams.

The D did not play nearly as well
as a lot of people on this site seem to think. The Broncos moved the ball easily on them in the second half. And while at first glance it seems that the D played well in the first half, don’t forget that the Broncos O didn’t get to take the field for two of their possesions because our special teams allowed them to score on returns. If you want to assume that the Charger D would have held them to three and outs, I guess you could. But I am not so confident that would have been the case.
by JeromeB on Oct 19, 2009 9:10 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
I agree
But still unless the D is out there i can’t really throw all the blame on them. We have no clue what our D does in those situations, but i do know that our D played great in the 1st half.
by Dude52089 on Oct 19, 2009 9:25 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
D played better in the first half
but I would not say great. The Denver offense took had only 4 possesions in the first half. 18 yds and a punt, 62 yds and a FG, 6 yds and a punt, 41 yds and a 3rd down FG because time was running out in the half. Better than we have been used to but Denver still scored on two of their four trips.
The run D was much better, still not great. But still no pressure on the QB (Orton had a QB rating of 115.4. And neither Weddle or Ellison could cover Scheffler.
by JeromeB on Oct 19, 2009 9:50 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
I'd disagree
Ellison at least contained Scheffler. Both TD drive in the 2nd half were capped by a pass to Scheffler with Weddle on him.

Broncos defense surprises more and more every week, but
I love the san diego chargers and they can not lose this game, they will win 28-27 in the best monday night football game of the season so far

Love these kinds of posts...
It really gives me a good feel for what the fans of a team think is going to happen. From the looks of it if you guys are right we are all going to watch a very entertaining game with lots of points scored. It isn’t my favorite kind (unless my team is blowing the other team out I really enjoy a good defensive struggle of a game), but I’ll take it as long as you aren’t pounding my team into submission like so many of our most recent games in the past three years.
Every week it seems we are getting better and better competition. This week is no exception. I am very excited to see how the Broncos do against San Diego. I wish you all a good game and may the best team win!

This is your house, not mine
My prediction is over at MHR. Look up my FanPost from last Thursday (or so) if you want my prediction. Kinda an ethics thing for me…I wouldn’t want some fader posting predictions on a MHR thread, so I don’t typically do that elsewhere in the division.

It would be better if you posted
predictions in the predictions thread, as opposed to posting not-predictions in someone else’s house.

You guys crack me up. My comment had to do directly with this thread. But go ahead and get all defensive if you want.

That's funny, but not for the reasons you think it is.
But because this is a predictions thread, and you were so concerned with stating your own ethics and being respectful in someone else’s house, that you couldn’t be bothered to follow the customs or traditions of said house.
This also isn’t being defensive, it’s pointing out the fact that you said one thing while doing another.

where you are coming from. Having 30 charger fans clogging up a Bronco site with their predictions would not be cool. The same with Bronco fans all predicting here.

41-27 Chargers
Everybody gets in on the action and scores… LT, Sproles, VJ, Gates, Nate gets a couple, even the D returns one. It’ll be a shoot out as reality sets in on the Denver D.
Alright, I’m headed down to the Q right now… We’ve got to be loud tonight! Get our team back on track!

Yep, its yours.
Leaf goes to the person who is off by the biggest margin. The opposite of a Carnac.
Congrats :)
