Chudzinski's Return Tightens Norv's Leash?
I love getting Rob Chudzinski back, since he was a hot commodity when the Browns tapped him in the first place and did have a great 07 when Derek Anderson was playing out of his mind, Jamal Lewis was running well like he does every other year, and Braylon caught some of what was thrown at him. What I like most is this gives the Chargers a playcaller familiar with the system but willing to adapt and innovate some in a way that Norv who was been running his system for twenty years might not see anymore. If Norv's 09 Chargers start tanking again at the beginning of the season, it is clear it is not a fluke, injuries, etc. but poor leadership/motivation and I think Rivera should get the reins with Chud as OC. At the least, Norv should be willing to hand over some of the playcalling next year so he can actually manage the team.

Welcome to BFTB, nice input.
On the coaches, some will depend on why they are tanking. If it’s the defense then obviously Rivera is probably not going to get placed in Charge. My sense is that all these coaching moves are coming from Norv and Rivera; they are going to get this season to get into the playoffs and go deep in the playoffs doing it completely their way. If it doesn’t work out certainly Norv will be gone; perhaps both depending on how the defense performs.
