Rivers not Nominated?

All right, I don't usually much notice who is up for the player of the week, but when Cromartie won, I took a look at the offensive player thinking that with 48 points maybe a Charger would be in there somewhere.  Nope,  Ronnie Brown won on the offensive side, that's pretty hard to argue with.  The thing that got me was that they nominated Buffalo quarterback Trent Edwards, who completed 24 of 39 passes (61.5 percent) for 279 yards with one touchdown and one interception with an 81.0 passer rating in a 24-23 win against the Raiders.  Somehow Philip Rivers who completed 19/25 (76 percent) 250 yards with 3 TDs and one Interception with a 130.0 passer rating escaped their notice.  Rivers needs a PR guy or something.

That’s pretty lousy. I guess playing better on a bigger stage isn’t enough somehow.

Seems strange all right.

Rivers leads the NFL in TDs and Passer Rating.

So who knows. But Cromartie really shouldn’t haven’t gotten Defensive so whatever.

He did drop

one interception, then muffed the OS kick. Still seven tackles, 4 PDs and two picks ain’t too shabby.

Thanks for the heads up

That’s confusing; I guess they name the Offensive/Defensive players, but then have a Fed-Ex/GM fan vote thing too. Vote early and often.
