Static from around the Web
Favre is OK. Just ask the MNF announcers.
Patriots fans booing already? Tough crowd.
No direct snaps to LT.
LT gets a rushing TD, Cromartie some picks and Chambers has six catches - four for TDs.
Somebody keeps needling Rivers.
Never too early for the draft.
The Raiders are getting tired of the drama. They are getting a little punchy too.

Direct Snaps
To me, the only really make sense with a tall RB who can throw, like McFadden. With LT, we know he can throw, but can he see the field enough to read the defense (a requirement since the the direct snap plays rely on a run/pass read to determine what play is run)? At 5’10 I would say that is unlikely, even from the shotgun. Better to keep him in a standard RB position and do halfback toss sweep pass plays when you need him to throw where he looks to pass while not behind the O-line.

Yeah, Peria Jerry maybe?
He would have to bulk up though. Scott McKillop sounded good at ILB…

Peria
Seems like a UT to me more than a NT. B.J. Raji (Boston College) has the size of a NT. He missed last year, but is back healthy this year I believe. Dorrell Scott (Clemson) also looks like he has the size.
NFL DraftCountdown has a bunch of guys ahead of McKillop although many would need to hit the weight room to play 3-4 ILB. Jasper Brinkley is a guy that looks like he could be a fit size-wise at 3-4 ILB. Antonio Appleby is interesting because Virginia plays a 3-4 and he play ILB for them. Brian Cushing (USC) is interesting. He might be able to move to ILB in the pros.

Do you have
an opinion on Terrance Taylor out of Michigan? He seems to have the weight to stay put and is well regarded.

I think conditioning is supposed to be a question mark with Taylor and he’s a little short, but I think he projects as a solid nose tackle.

Haven't noticed him when I've watched Michigan games
His size is such that he could easily bulk up into a NT. However, NFLDraftCountdown has his 40 time at 5.20 so I’d worry about his athleticism. I also worry about Michigan players. For whatever reason there haven’t been many that have made good transitions to the NFL recently and the one’s that have aren’t living up to their expectations. Makes me wonder.
