Thanksgiving

It was 1863 and the country was in the midst of a great civil war when Abraham Lincoln proclaimed the first national Thanksgiving.  With victories at Vicksburg and Gettysburg it had become more a question of when rather than if the Union would prevail.  These times are also not without their troubles; but today I have much to thankful for; including a bit of turkey and football.  I am also thankful for this forum and all the folks who spend a little time here.

Please use this post for an open thread on the days games.

I am not thankful for

this crappy lineup of games the NFL has provided today.

thanks DaBolts

this is a fast-paced world. Some of us rarely sleep, work our butts off and at the end of the day it can be difficult to sit back, relax and realize the gifts we have. We live in arguably the greatest country ever. So great, in fact, that we can spend our time investing emotion into a game. Albeit, a game that represents San Diego, our home. Just for a moment to give thanks is important so that maybe later in our hectic schedules we can appreciate all that we are given and all that others have sacrificed for us. Thank you DaBolts, thank you sdsuaztec4, thank you axion, thank you everybody. You all make this place special, and I mean that. Happy turkey day to everyone.

and F the raiders.

Bring back Balboa Stadium.

Very Interesting… anybody remember what happened exactly 100 years later? (Not JFK)

The Thanks

Among the things I am thankful for on this holiday, one is the Internet.
Thank you, for the people you bring together and for giving us the ability to share our thoughts and ideas, a laugh or a RAAAGE.

To the tireless content creators, special thank you for always giving us something to think about; something to embrace, or to shoot at.

Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you?
