The Chargers offense continues to be completely unable to run the ball with success. They still managed to be successful on 2 out of every 3 passes. The only problem was that two of their 13 passing failures were drive-killing, momentum-killing interceptions. If Rivers can get that cleaned up they may be able to survive without a running game. Floyd had a monster game and I hope when Chambers is fully healthy that Malcom isn't the one to lose playing time.
The Chargers defense still can't cover tight ends. They did a fine job covering everyone else though and completely snuffed out the Chiefs' running game except on third and short, which is a little troubling. The defense under new coordinator Ron Rivera came out a little slow stopping the Chiefs on only 45% of plays, but in the second half they were dominant with a 65% stop rate. More of that please. The defense won this game and I think that's something to be happy about.

I keep meaning to ask
How are penalties handled? For instance is the pi call on Hart designated as a success on the third down pass category?

DPI is the only penalty I count as a play.

The logic being
That the defender was stopping a successful play from occurring by committing the penalty.

I'm also pretty sure
That there is a correlation between DPIs and successful offenses/WRs/QBs.
